For maximum automation and optimum operator efficiency during the numerous product changes required in commercial printing, Ferag offers the PreTronic automatic format adjustment system. Here, every product format can be entered at a central display and input unit (GUI). For recurring jobs, PreTronic automatically moves all axes to the correct position for minimizing changeover times.

Incomplete copies at the UniDrum rotary gathering and stitching system can be eliminated thanks to QualityEye sheet identification. There is a camera able to recognize a pattern or barcode. Even different language versions can be recognized as patterns. Out-feed of incomplete copies comes after the UniDrum.

Numerous Ferag developments for inline finishing – such as the StreamStitch stitching drum, the SNT-50 trimming drum, the TriLiner for applying MemoSticks and cards, and the StreamFold quarterfold system – are tailored to one another in such a way that the flexibility of the production plants and the associated product portfolio grows exponentially.
