Low energy consumption for removing used cardboard boxes
The fashion company Tom Tailor and DHL, its logistics service provider, built a new warehouse together in Hamburg where Ferag planned the conveyor solution for the disposal of used cardboard boxes. A total of 351 metres of Deniway line were installed. As with Zalando, the overhead conveyor runs at a height of 2.5 metres so that staff can conveniently throw the empty cartons onto the conveyor. The conveyor system is driven by just a single 1.6-kW motor. It collects cardboard boxes from six processing lines and carries them to a belt conveyor that feeds them into a press.
Top-scoring features of Deniway:
- 351-metre conveyor
- low energy consumption due to just one 1.6-kW drive
- more free space at floor level thanks to overhead conveying
- modular design, extensible at any time
- better working conditions thanks to low-noise conveyor technology
